Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using ConnectWatch ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. Description of Service
ConnectWatch is an infrastructure monitoring service that:
- SSHes into your designated servers using credentials you provide
- Performs read/write/delete operations on designated filesystem paths
- Probes HTTPS endpoints, S3 buckets, Azure Blob containers, and SFTP servers
- Sends alerts when probes fail or recover
The Service operates on a subscription basis with optional pay-per-use on-demand tests.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must use a company email address — personal email domains are not permitted for B2B accounts.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use ConnectWatch only to monitor infrastructure you own or have explicit authorisation to monitor. You must not:
- Use ConnectWatch to probe servers without authorisation from the server owner
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access other tenants' data
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
5. SSH Access and Security
You grant ConnectWatch permission to SSH into servers using credentials you configure. You are responsible for:
- Creating a dedicated probe user with minimum necessary permissions
- Ensuring the probe user only has access to designated probe directories
- Rotating SSH keys if you suspect compromise
ConnectWatch encrypts all SSH keys and credentials at rest using AES-256-GCM. ConnectWatch never stores or transmits your application data — only probe test files generated from /dev/zero.
6. Data and Privacy
ConnectWatch collects:
- Probe results (latency, success/failure, error messages)
- Encrypted SSH credentials and connector configuration
- Account information (email, company name)
- Usage logs and audit trails
We do not sell your data. Probe result data is retained for 90 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Subscription and Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method. Prices are in USD. Overage charges for environments exceeding your plan limit are calculated monthly and added to your next invoice.
8. Refunds
Please see our Refund Policy for full details. In summary: annual subscriptions are eligible for a pro-rata refund within 30 days. Monthly subscriptions and on-demand credits are non-refundable.
9. Service Availability
ConnectWatch targets 99.5% monthly uptime for the monitoring infrastructure. Probe results may be delayed or missed during maintenance windows. ConnectWatch is not liable for incidents that occur during service outages.
10. Limitation of Liability
ConnectWatch is a monitoring tool — it alerts you to problems but does not prevent them. ConnectWatch is not liable for any damages arising from missed alerts, delayed probe results, or infrastructure failures. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the subscription page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
